How to convert your HTML export files from Kindle to a Markdown Obsidian Files

It doesn’t matter if you are an avid reader from your Kindle, sporadic or casual, nor if you are a big Obsidian fan or enthusiast. In any case, what I am sure of is that regular note-taking is part of your daily activities.

But if you’re both, you’ll be familiar with the fact that it’s not very plug-and-play, but rather plug-and-pray, to get your Kindle highlights in your Obsidian vaults.

While there are a few plugins available in the Obsidian community to help with this, I’ve tried most of them, and although some work better than others (for a time), none offer a stable long-term solution.

I got tired of this, so I decided to become part of the solution rather than remain part of the problem. That’s why I propose an alternative — a Python alternative.
