š¦What if a crazed bird sang?
A short story about happiness.
Desperate cries break the silence just before dawn.
The wild flapping of wings pushes a curious crowd into a huddle of branches.
By the time the first rays of sunlight illuminate the nest and the emptiness fills its eyes. It flies. It seeks. It calls. It shouts.
No one answers and what little sanity there is vanishes forever.
A lifeless nest. An endless cry of pain and the sweet madness that heals all.
A madness that will last forever.
- āHow beautiful to sing!ā ā I said.
And you replied:
- āThey must be happy.ā
