The PARA method: From Personal to Corporate.
Does PARA work in real business projects? Lessons learned and avoidable mistakes.
When I first heard about the PARA method, I didn’t pay attention to it.
I thought it was another false holy grail of personal information organization.
Another clone on steroids of another modified clone whose origins go back generations to the Zettlekasten method itself.
Then (and I must admit I was seduced by the masses on YouTube) I began to explore the PARA method with the purpose of finding the essence that underpins it as one of the most solid and meaningful propositions on the market, especially if personal information management seems to be something very important to you and moreover, a never-ending puzzle.
So I decided that if I wanted to find the truth I had to go to the source. So I read the book, Build Your Second Brain by Tiago Forte.
With suspicion and skepticism at first I must confess, but the more I read it the more the reflections and Tiago’s proposal for personal information management made sense to me.
I began to adopt it immediately.
I knew that giving a structure to something that was a complete chaos would take time.
