The quest to write without losing the magic of paper.

I love writing. And especially on paper.

Paper is incredible.

  • It doesn’t need batteries, charging, or plugging in.
  • It doesn’t require WiFi or Bluetooth.
  • Nor does it require a special pen costing almost $100.
  • It’s always available and usually close at hand.
  • It comes in many formats and presentations.
  • It is (depending on the volume) easy to transport and carry in a pocket.
  • Very practical for quick reading and/or writing, for developing ideas, or simply for clarity.
  • The writing experience, the sound of the pen on paper, is fascinating; there is something romantic about it.

The truth is, it’s very hard to compete with that, to compete with paper.

But over time, paper tends to accumulate, becoming difficult to organize and find things quickly.

It is not immune to the effects of time, the elements, and, of course, accidents.
