I am an avid reader of medium and more recently trying to become a regular writer, not only to improve my writing and thinking but also to improve my English because I'm not a native English speaker. I live in Chile but I am Venezuelan. Engineer by profession. Nerd at heart, and also rookie of photography for as long as I can remember.
On medium there is a lot of content, and sometimes I think that the quantity far exceeds the quality. Lots of empty articles, no soul, no purpose, no narrative. So it's great to come across content as high quality, as human and artistic as yours. It's been a very enjoyable read and an amazing journey through your storytelling.

I am 10 years younger than you my friend and I fully understand the issue of vision when it starts to get blurry. I am not on the same level as you of course but I understand you and empathize with the situation.

I recently found a reference to a book called Antifragile, whose author I do not remember, but I was struck by this concept, which is basically something invented by the author where he expresses the idea of something that hurting us, strengthens us. I thought about this concept and while I was reading your article I connected it unintentionally with your story. How the loss of something has given you superpowers to go other ways. I find it simply amazing and personally quite inspiring. I appreciate the sharing of such an excellent story my friend....
