One of my goals this year is to better track my daily activities, in order to see how I’m doing, find patterns, identify possible impediments or bottlenecks, and consequently take action on it.

My first step started at the close of 2024, looking for an app that would allow me to record my daily activities in the simplest way possible.

That’s how I made an inventory of several digital tools for the use (or disuse) I planned to give them in 2025 (which you can see here) and among them, I committed to the annual subscription of Productive, as the main digital tool for tracking my activities.

I have never used it. 🤦‍♂️

And it’s not because it’s a bad option, on the contrary. It’s a beautiful and poweful tool, full of features, finely detailed and finished, pleasing to the eye, fast and with lots of customization possibilities.

But I just didn’t get hooked. 🤷‍♂️

So I kept looking in the Android store for other options for digital tracking of my daily activities…I tried several and none managed to convince me. I was about to believe that I was the problem (maybe I am), until I came across HabitKit.

A very simple but powerful application, minimalist but elegant (more than Productive in my opinion), but whose simplicity and perspective on what activity tracking means, resonated with me.

Here I tell you and show you my experience after 1 month of use…

Starts from less to more

One of the most exhausting things to start with when tracking habits is populating the application, i.e. feeding it with all the things we do on a daily basis.

This stage alone can be frustrating and can invite you to give up too early.

Here the formula and the invitation that worked for me is, go from less to more.
